SOCIAL JUSTICE
Cornerstone Church partners with two social upliftment organisations: Ukwakha Isizwe Foundation and Sukuma Foundation. Both charities function as umbrella organisations for several initiatives, covering a broad range of developmental issues: community development, education, disaster relief, employement, and nutrition. In so doing they aim to impact our communities, and build our nation.
We understand that so many of us desire to have a lasting impact on the well-being of the less fortunate in our communities, and also have companies with funding that needs to be allocated, but often find it difficult to know where to begin; who to contact; which organisation to get involved with; and how to contribute. Furthermore, many of us even have great ideas for social upliftment projects but we lack the know-how and resources to make it happen.
It is with that in mind that we encourage you to contact these organisations and see how you can get involved, what their needs may be, and how together you can uplift our communities.
Ukwakha Isizwe is both a registered Non- Profit Organisation (NPO) and Public Benefit Organisation (PBO), and Sukuma Foundation is a level 1 B-BBEE registered NPO, PBO and Non-Profit Company (NPC). They both can provide Section 18A certificates for bona fide donations, and Sukuma can provide companies with points on their B-BBEE scorecard for social-economic and skills development donations.
