Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Joy is a fruit of God’s Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:11). It’s a fundamental part of who God is. God not only created joy but IS ALWAYS full of Joy. He is infinitely happy.
And he invites us to share in his happiness!
John 15:11
I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!
Joy is a fundamental part of who God has made us to be, and who we are to be as Christians. It’s a gift that comes from God as he invites you to share in “the master’s happiness” (Matthew 25:23). You can have true, full, complete joy today.
John 16:33
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.
Read that again – Jesus has overcome the world. Despite the difficulties and sorrows we experience, Jesus has overcome it all. Even in sorrow we can have joy, because our God turns everything for the good, is in control, will never forsake us, and invites us to participate in his very joy, today.
This is our theme for Kaleidoscope 2016.
