Jesus says we will be known as His followers by our love for each other (John 13:35).

James talks about faith in action:

“If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace, be warmed and filled,’ without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?” (James 2:15-16)

how can you help?

Help families and communities in need.

The situation, especially in KZN but also in certain areas of Gauteng, is incredibly dire.

Within a few days, those living in certain informal settlements will begin to suffer starvation due to a severe shortage of even the very basics. There is also a need for baby food and nappies.

However, getting relief parcels to these communities has serious distribution and security challenges.

To circumvent these:

– Central collection points are being set up in KZN and Gauteng through our partnerships with churches in communities.

– Small parcels will be given to pastors in these informal settlements which they can distribute in their communities.

– This keeps the relief low-key and people can walk home with their packages without being targeted.

1. DONATE

We need to buy the necessary items and also get these to the central collection points.

This will be done via road and air transport.

Donation details below.

Click here for details on what items will go into these packages.

2. SHOP

If you are shopping, you will probably be limited by the number of items you can buy.

We suggest you buy one item of food (a can of beans or rice, etc.) or a pack of nappies and drop this off at our church offices at Benard Road East, Morninghill in Bedfordview (click/tap for a map).

We will then get these items to the places in need.

3. PRAY

We’ll be praying online every night at 6pm until further notice.
